Matt Scott gives Georgia a high-upside, high-leverage 6-foot-7 power arm
In the 2026 season, Matt Scott became one of Georgia’s most trusted bullpen weapons, going 7-0 with a 4.22 ERA, 76 strikeouts, 30 walks, and a .214 opponent average in 59.2 innings; he also delivered five scoreless innings in an NCAA regional game, which screams big-moment composure.[8][14] The 6-foot-7 right-hander brings a pro-style power fastball, cutter, and slider, plus the kind of heavy strikeout ability that made him a coveted Stanford transfer and later an 8th-round MLB Draft pick in 2026.[9][10] If your team wants size, bat-missing stuff, and a pitcher who can handle leverage without blinking, Scott is absolutely worth the hype.[7][15]
