Penn State’s Dylan Firmstone brings strike-throwing polish and two-sport toughness
Firmstone was a Penn State 2026 signee and a right-handed pitcher from Hempfield Area High School who paired solid pitchability with real production: in his junior season, he logged 23 strikeouts in 23 innings, and in his sophomore season he posted a 2.92 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 12 innings. He also earned second-team All-Conference honors in 2023 and 2024 and was ranked among Pennsylvania’s better prep arms by Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report.
