Joe Colucci brings size, swing-and-miss upside, and a live arm to Virginia’s bullpen
In the 2025 season, Colucci flashed strikeout stuff for Virginia, fanning 17 in 17.2 innings, and he showed he can miss bats more consistently in summer ball with Bourne, where he posted a 2.61 ERA. The 6-foot-5 righty is appealing because his frame, velocity, and breaking-ball bite give him real late-inning upside; the catch is command, which has wavered, and his 2025 ACC results were uneven. If your team wants a power arm with reliever ceiling and some upside seasoning left, Colucci is worth the look.
