Brandon Week brings left-handed upside and serious strikeout pedigree to SDSU
Brandon Week is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound freshman left-handed pitcher for South Dakota State who arrives with a strong prep résumé: a 9-4 combined record over his final two high school seasons, 125 strikeouts in 91 2/3 innings, and a 1.30 ERA as a junior. He also earned first-team all-section honors in 2023 and 2024, plus praise for his academics and multi-sport competitiveness. The appeal is simple: if SDSU wants a poised, swing-and-miss arm with size, projection, and a competitive background, Week is very much the kind of developmental pitcher worth betting on.
