Caron Tyler brings dual-threat juice and big-play flair to Valpo’s QB room
Tyler emerged in the 2024 season as a true dual-threat quarterback, finishing with 978 passing yards, 6 passing touchdowns, 398 rushing yards and 3 rushing scores while starting six of 10 games for Valparaiso.[1] What makes him stand out is his playmaking in space and poise in big moments: he posted a 160-yard passing, 120-yard rushing breakout at Youngstown State and later hit a game-winning touchdown pass at the buzzer against Davidson.[1][3] He also earned the team’s Most-Improved Player award, suggesting real developmental momentum.[1]
