Cooper Hums brings speed, gaps power, and academic polish to WMU’s outfield
Cooper Hums is a valuable Western Michigan outfielder whose 2026 season profile shows a speedy, left-handed bat with real disruptive value: he appeared in 36 games, made 23 starts, scored 23 runs, drove in 10, and added 8 stolen bases, while also launching the first two home runs of his college career in back-to-back games. He’s the kind of player who can change innings with his legs, and the home-run burst hints at sneaky pop beyond the table-setter label. Add in strong academics and a steady role, and he looks like a smart, versatile fit for a team that values athleticism and energy.
