Chloe Wamboldt is a spark plug in EIU’s infield and a steady run-producer
In the 2026 season, Chloe Wamboldt emerged as one of Eastern Illinois’ most reliable bats, leading the Panthers early in batting average and piling up multi-hit games, including several three-hit performances and at least one four-hit outing. She brings line-drive contact, timely RBI production, speed on the bases, and enough versatility to handle key infield responsibilities. EIU also recognized her as an All-Newcomer selection, which tracks with the eye test: she looks like a high-effort, high-impact player who can fit well on a team that wants energy, consistency, and clutch at-bats.
