Bulldog legend built on defense, steals, and all-around grit
Ahmad Thomas is best known for being a two-time Big South Defensive Player of the Year and UNC Asheville’s all-time steals leader, with a career line of 1,626 points, 705 rebounds, 256 assists, and 251 steals in his college career. His game was never just box-score fluff: in the 2017–18 season, he averaged 16.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.9 steals while earning first-team All-Big South honors, showing a two-way, high-motor guard who impacts winning beyond scoring. If you value toughness, versatility, and defensive havoc, he’s your guy.
