NaKeem Powell is an early-impact freshman back with real burst
In the 2026 season, Delaware freshman RB NaKeem Powell has started fast, posting 5 carries for 35 yards in the opener and flashing a lively 7.0 yards per carry with a long run of 21 yards. At 6'0, 200 pounds, he already looks like a college-ready runner with enough size to handle contact and enough burst to punish open lanes. The bigger draw is upside: he’s a four-year high school starter and winning pedigree guy, which usually translates to poise and competitiveness rather than early-career panic.
