YSU’s ace lefty with bite, volume, and polish
In the 2026 season, Gebhardt emerged as Youngstown State’s workhorse and top arm, posting a 5-4 record, 3.19 ERA, and 104 strikeouts in 87.1 innings while earning Horizon League Pitcher of the Year honors and first-team all-league recognition. He stands out for missing bats, limiting traffic, and handling heavy starter’s loads, with a season-high 12 strikeouts in one outing and a record sixth weekly league pitcher award. Add the academic-star profile, and you get a durable, competitive lefty who looks like a fit for teams wanting a proven starter with performance and makeup.
