6-foot-5 Jackrabbit righty Jacob Sjuts brings size, sink, and late-season poise
Jacob Sjuts is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound junior right-hander for South Dakota State who gives the Jackrabbits a power-bodied frame and a starter’s workload upside. In the 2026 season, he worked in multiple roles, logged a scoreless inning in the NCAA regional finale against Arizona State, and also took on tough midweek starts earlier in the year. He fits a staff that values size, innings, and mound presence; the tradeoff is that his season line shows some bumps, so he profiles more as a development arm with real upside than a finished product.
