Lucas Niemeyer is turning into Lindenwood’s quietly nasty weekend lefty
In the 2026 season, Lucas Niemeyer earned Midseason Freshman All-American honors from Perfect Game and locked down a weekend-rotation role for Lindenwood, posting a 3.00 ERA across 33.0 innings with 19 strikeouts and just 8 walks. He’s a 6-foot-3 left-hander whose early starts included a seven-inning shutout debut and another seven-inning scoreless outing, which points to poise, strike-throwing, and a starter’s feel rather than just stuff. He looks like a fit for a team that values command, innings, and a calm presence on the mound.
