Nick Ongenda brings elite rim protection and efficient interior production
Ongenda is a classic impact center: long, physical, and a proven shot-blocker who ranked among DePaul’s all-time leaders in blocks and produced a strong senior return after a wrist injury, averaging 12.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks in his final seven starts for the Blue Demons in 2022-23. His biggest value is on the defensive end, where his timing, size, and rim deterrence translate even when he is not a featured scorer; the main fit question is health and availability, but if you need a paint anchor, he is the kind of big who changes shots and steady possessions.
