Jordan Vargas Brings Size, Strike-Throwing, and Starter Traits to FIU’s Staff
In the 2025 season at Miami Dade College, Jordan Vargas logged a 10-2 record with a 3.90 ERA across 64.2 innings, showing the kind of durability and mound efficiency that makes him interesting for FIU[2]. At 6-foot-5 and 203 pounds, the right-hander has a projectable frame and a starter’s look, and scouting evaluations describe a smooth, athletic delivery with a fast arm and a three-pitch mix that gives him real upside if the command keeps sharpening[4][9].
