Journeyman Lefty LHP with Proven Durability and Strikeout Flair
Patrick Gardner, a battle-tested 5'11" lefty now at Ball State after stints at Pitt (2025: 4-6, 7.15 ERA, 59 K in ~65 IP), FDU (2023: 3-1, 3.14 ERA est.), and Heartland CC (2025: 6-0, 2.73 ERA, 63 K in 62.2 IP), stands out for his remarkable durability—logging 86 IP with 93 K in 14 starts at Pitt in 2024—and relief versatility, making him a reliable bullpen arm or spot starter. His pinpoint control (1.10 WHIP at JUCO) and gritty, high-motor intensity shine through, ideal for teams needing a lefty who eats innings without fading. Watch for rebound potential post-tough 2025.
