Kyle Eddington brings contact, speed, and sneaky value to UMBC’s infield
In the 2026 season, UMBC’s Kyle Eddington has been a steady, glue-guy infielder: he hit .297 with a .419 OBP, scored 28 runs, drove in 26, laid down a team-best 10 sacrifice bunts, and went a perfect 12-for-12 in stolen bases. He was also named to the All-District Team in 2025 and 2026, and UMBC lists him as its all-time hit-by-pitches leader, which hints at a tough, gritty approach. If a roster needs reliable on-base skills, baserunning, and fundamentals over flash, he’s absolutely worth a look.
