6-foot-2 freshman wideout trying to carve out a role in Furman’s receiver room
Weston Hughes enters the 2026 season as a 6-foot-2, 190-pound freshman WR for Furman, and the early read is all projection: the Paladins have him in a deep, freshman-heavy receiver group, so the path to snaps will be earned, not handed out. His frame suggests outside-receiver potential, and being listed with the top-tier freshmen in the room hints that Furman sees upside. There are no 2026 stats yet, so the real story is developmental fit—if you want size, runway, and a long-term buy, he’s one to watch.
