Crafty LHP with Promising Upside at Iona
A 6-1 left-handed pitcher from West Islip, NY, Pipia is a freshman at Iona University majoring in Finance. The St. John the Baptist product showcases solid foundational metrics—79.7 mph max exit velo and a 7.94-second 60-yard dash—with room to develop. As a crafty southpaw, Pipia projects as a mid-rotation type who can mix speeds effectively. His high school pedigree (ranked 411 nationally, 17th in NY) suggests he has the tools to contribute at the collegiate level, though he's still early in his development arc at Iona.
