Preston Lucas is a left-handed bat bringing production and catching value to USC Upstate
In the 2026 season, Preston Lucas has been a steady offensive contributor for USC Upstate, batting .290 with 6 home runs and 31 RBI, and he adds roster flexibility as a left-handed hitter who can handle catching duties[5][1]. At 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds, he has the physical profile of a solid college catcher, and his prep data showed a 7.60-second 60-yard dash with pop-time tracking, suggesting usable athleticism behind the plate[1][3]. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a dependable, mature run producer with defensive upside rather than a pure tools-only prospect[5].
