Max Skilbeck brings size, strikeout upside, and proven Tommies value on the mound
Skilbeck is a big-bodied right-hander who has shown real swing-and-miss ability for St. Thomas, including a 2026 season line of 27 strikeouts in 9 appearances and 4 starts, plus a career-high eight-K outing against South Dakota State in 2025-style game notes. He has also been used in high-leverage spots, where he helped limit SDSU to two hits in a key conference game. The fit is appealing if you want a durable arm with starter/reliever flexibility and some upside, though his profile suggests some uneven results that teams would want to stabilize.
