Jacob Spencer is an experienced right-hander with a heavy workload profile and late-season starting experience
In 2025, Spencer handled a bigger role for Indiana State, making 15 appearances with seven starts and working as the team’s primary midweek starter late in the season. His calling card is durability and strike-throwing: he logged 31.0 innings, posted a 17:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and showed flashes of effectiveness in longer outings, including a three-inning scoreless effort against Illinois. The downside is performance consistency, as his ERA and opponent batting average were elevated, so he profiles more as a depth starter/inning-eater than an immediate shutdown arm.[2]
