Veteran UAB guard who brings efficient scoring, steady two-way play, and old-school toughness
In the 2022-23 season, Tavin Lovan was a reliable senior guard for UAB, averaging 5.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assist while shooting 46.6% from the field across 37 games[1][9]. His game is built on efficiency, physicality, and maturity rather than flash, with a 6-4 frame that lets him guard up and finish through contact[2][8]. He’s the kind of connector coach staffs like: low-drama, competitive, and able to do the unglamorous stuff that keeps a team organized[1][8].
