KC Goodwin brings Southern Illinois guard depth and gritty Memphis pedigree
KC Goodwin is a freshman guard for Southern Illinois in the 2026 season, listed at 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds out of Memphis’ Melrose High School, and he projects as a compact, tough lead-guard prospect with upside from the guard spot[1]. He looks like the kind of player who fits teams that value quickness, edge, and defensive pressure over flash; the roster profile suggests a young backcourt piece still early in his college development[1].
