Tommy John comeback kid turned breakout strikeout arm
Adetuyi is a left-handed Florida Atlantic pitcher who turned a 2025 Tommy John return into a 2026 breakout, finishing with a 4.19 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 73 innings, third-most in the American Athletic Conference[1][2]. He opened eyes with a 10-strikeout showing against Miami and then earned a seventh-round MLB Draft selection by Boston, a strong sign that his fast-rising arm talent and starter’s durability translate beyond the box score[2][4]. The big selling point: he’s already proven he can battle back from injury and still miss bats in volume[1][7].
