Marissa Jackson is a contact-first spark plug for Valpo in center field
In the 2026 season, Marissa Jackson started all 52 games for Valparaiso in center field and hit .333 with 50 hits, 19 runs, 7 RBI, and a .712 OPS, showing everyday reliability and top-of-the-order value. She also posted her first four-hit game on Feb. 21, 2026, a sign of a hitter who can catch fire and change a game in a hurry. The big differentiator: she brings steady defense, speed, and pressure-packed at-bats rather than loud power, making her a smart fit for a team that wants consistency, energy, and a player who simply keeps the line moving.
