veteran two-way guard who can score, stretch the floor, and steady a lineup
In the 2022-23 season, Jacob Boonyasith was UMBC’s only player to start all 32 games and finished second on the team at 10.5 points per game, showing the kind of reliability coaches love.[1][15] He’s a 6-foot-3 guard who can hit threes, handle the ball, and chip in across the box score; in 2022 he earned America East Player of the Week after averaging 20.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in two wins.[2] The upside is obvious: toughness, shot-making, and maturity. If you want a dependable veteran guard who won’t blink in big moments, he fits the brief nicely.[1][2][15]
