6'6" Army RHP Sean Newton brings size, strikeout upside, and early-debut polish
Sean Newton is a big-bodied right-hander at **6'6", 235 pounds** who already got into a game for Army in **2026**, striking out a hitter in his first career appearance against The Citadel.[1][5] His profile suggests an arm with real down-the-mound angle and development upside, and Army’s roster notes list him as a junior engineering student, which fits the program’s reputation for disciplined, high-motor players.[5][7] The key question is consistency and workload growth, but if you want a projectable college arm with a strong frame and room to add more swing-and-miss, he’s worth tracking.[1][5]
