Luke Rossi brings middle-of-the-order pop and veteran polish to YSU's infield
Rossi enters Youngstown State as a 6-foot-3, 215-pound fifth-year infielder with a strong offensive track record: in the 2025 season at College of San Mateo, he led the Coast Conference in batting average and hits while posting a .384 average, .616 slugging, 58 hits, 41 RBI, and a .992 fielding percentage. He was also named First-Team All-Coast Conference and was projected as an important part of YSU’s 2026 lineup. The fit is obvious: he looks like a physical, high-contact bat with gap power, defensive reliability, and the kind of mature, team-captain energy coaches love.
