Connor Hamilton brings Vanderbilt a physical, high-upside freshman arm with starter-level flashes
In the 2026 season, Vanderbilt RHP Connor Hamilton showed real ceiling: a 6-foot-4 freshman with a heavy fastball mix who made 14 appearances, including nine starts, and posted a 2-1 record with a 4.95 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 36.1 innings. His best calling card is swing-and-miss stuff—he threw a nine-inning complete game with 11 strikeouts against Belmont and reached seven strikeouts over six innings against Middle Tennessee. The one caution flag is a lat issue that interrupted his season, but when healthy he looks like a tough, physical competitor with weekend-starter upside.
