veteran Troy southpaw with starter upside and swing-and-miss stuff
In the 2026 season, Brock Tapper is a senior left-hander for Troy who has been used in key starts, including against high-end competition, which tells you the staff trusts him when the lights get bright. He’s a 6-foot-2, 196-pound L/L arm with two-way experience on the roster, and his profile suggests a durable, versatile pitcher who can compete in different roles. The stat line has been uneven, but the appeal is the left-handed look, experience, and ability to handle tough assignments—more of a gritty matchup piece than a polished headline-grabber.
