Bellarmine’s 6-foot-4 RHP Raygan New brings a starter’s frame and upper-80s to 90 mph velocity
New profiles as a projectable right-handed pitcher with a strong 6'4", 190-pound frame, a fastball that reaches 90 mph and sits 88 mph, plus a usable changeup and breaking ball, which suggests starter upside if his command keeps sharpening. Bellarmine’s roster does not yet list college statistics for him, so the appeal is mostly in the upside: size, mound leverage, and a three-pitch base that can miss bats as it matures. He looks like a good fit for a team that values development and physical projection over instant statistical production.[2][6]
