DeBerry is a 6-foot-6 forward whose value is in size, length, and defensive versatility more than box-score volume; at Maryland in the 2024-25 season she averaged 2.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game, while showing strong efficiency inside the arc and solid defensive playmaking for a reserve big.[5][9] She has a McDonald’s All-American pedigree, youth-national-team experience, and shot-blocking ability, but her college career has been defined by limited minutes and a previous concussion that cut into her UConn season, so she fits best as a low-usage developmental piece rather than an immediate centerpiece.[6][14][18]
