Jalie Ruehling is UVA Wise’s do-it-all glue guard, with playmaking, rebounding, and leadership in full gear
In the 2025-26 season, Jalie Ruehling emerged as one of Virginia-Wise’s most valuable all-around pieces, averaging 5.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while leading the team in assists and ranking second in rebounds.[5] She’s a high-IQ, multi-positional guard who impacts winning beyond the box score—steady enough to start every game, disruptive on defense, and productive on the glass for a 5'6" backcourt player.[5][10] She also carries real intangible value as a two-time Kay Yow Servant Leader honoree, which says a lot about her consistency, competitiveness, and locker-room presence.[3][5]
