Jack Kirchner has become Rutgers’ steady midweek righty with swing-and-miss upside
In the 2025 season, Jack Kirchner gave Rutgers a valuable early look as a midweek starter, posting a 0.00 ERA across 8.1 innings in three midweek starts with nine strikeouts, and he showed in 2026 he can still miss bats in short relief, including a clean inning with two strikeouts against St. Joe’s. He’s a big, physical 6-foot-4 right-hander whose appeal is command, poise, and a starter’s frame; the fit is strongest for teams wanting a durable strike-thrower who can handle leverage without much drama.
