Joey Dwek brings strike-throwing, two-way competitiveness, and big-game poise to Manhattan
Dwek looks like a useful left-handed pitching piece for Manhattan because he arrives with a track record of missing bats and handling pressure, not just filling innings. In his 2025 high school season, he posted a 1.60 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 43 2/3 innings and capped his prep career by punching out seven over six innings in a championship win while also delivering a clutch two-run double[2]. Manhattan lists him as a 5'11", 176-pound sophomore left-handed pitcher, but does not yet show current college stats, so the appeal is mostly projection: competitive, efficient, and the kind of arm that can fit if you want a tough competitor with feel and upside[1][2].
