Colton LaFave is a swing-and-miss RHP with late-inning value for SDSU
In the 2026 season, Colton LaFave has been a useful right-handed arm for San Diego State, working in relief and showing bat-missing ability, including 84 strikeouts in 56 innings over his two seasons at Central Arizona College before arriving in the program. He’s a 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior from Litchfield Park, Arizona, with a power profile that fits high-leverage bullpen work; recent SDSU game notes show him earning outs in tight spots and generating strikeouts, though some outings have been a bit wild. If you want an athletic reliever with upside, LaFave is a solid fit.
