Kameran Hayward brings two-way playmaking and track speed to CMU’s secondary
Hayward is a **6-foot-1, 180-pound** cornerback commit to Central Michigan whose appeal is built on length, verified speed, and ball production rather than pure hype. As a senior at Cousino, he also contributed on offense with **25 catches for 374 yards and 5 TDs**, while his earlier high school seasons included interceptions, pass breakups, and a pick-six, showing real playmaking instincts on both sides of the ball. CMU lists him as a freshman defensive back, and his track times (11.04 in the 100m) suggest he can run with college receivers and fit as a versatile, high-upside coverage defender.[4][2]
