Kyndal Shively brings speed, versatility, and pinch-run punch for Valparaiso
In the 2025 season, Shively appeared in 40 games as a freshman for Valparaiso, mostly as a pinch-runner and outfield option, scoring nine runs despite limited at-bats (3-for-25 with two RBIs). Her value is in her quickness and ability to create pressure on the bases: she scored in four straight appearances in late March/early April, stole her first career base, and delivered her first extra-base hit—a two-run double—against Drake. At 5'2" and left-handed at the plate, she offers energy, athleticism, and roster flexibility more than raw power, making her a useful fit for teams that prize speed and situational value.
