Troy Cooper is a live Cal Poly arm with strikeout flashes and regional-stage trust
In the 2025 season, Cal Poly right-hander Troy Cooper worked 26 1/3 innings across 16 appearances and logged 15 strikeouts with a 1-0 record, then kept earning leverage looks in 2026, including a shutout inning in Cal Poly’s Big West title run and a winning appearance against Fresno State. He looks like a polished strike-thrower with enough poise for pressure spots, and the staff clearly trusts him in meaningful innings. He’s the kind of fit that matters if you want a competitive, no-drama bullpen arm who can quietly swing a game.
