Za-Ontay Boothman brings veteran shot-making and steady guard play to Houston Christian

In the 2023-24 season, Za-Ontay Boothman was Houston Christian’s sharp-shooting senior guard, averaging 7.7 points while hitting 41% from three, and his earlier HCU seasons showed he can create offense, distribute, and hit timely shots. He first broke through in the 2020-21 season with 10.2 points per game and 35.8% from deep, then returned from an injury-plagued 2021-22 season and earned preseason All-SLC buzz. If your team wants a confident perimeter threat with experience, toughness, and a proven feel for winning roles, he’s a very real fit.
