Henry Zatkowski is giving Virginia a sturdy left-handed arm with real swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Virginia LHP Henry Zatkowski has been one of the Hoos’ most important arms, finishing the year 8-1 with a 4.03 ERA, 92 strikeouts in 80.1 innings, and a staff-leading strikeout total that ranked among the ACC’s best. He’s valued for a fastball that plays with accuracy, sweeping breaking stuff, and the ability to miss bats while working deeper into games. The wrinkle: his role has bounced between starter and relief, and his early-season command wobbled, so he fits best with a team that can develop him patiently and let his stuff breathe.
