Robert Garrett

Robert Garrett was Santa Clara’s shot-blocking anchor in the early 2010s

In the 2012-13 season, 7-foot center Robert Garrett gave Santa Clara real rim protection and interior size, with the Broncos noting he was 10-of-18 from the field, 34 rebounds, and 18 blocks in his nine starts that year. He finished his Santa Clara career ranked seventh on the program’s all-time blocks list with 81, and his value was clear in the Broncos’ success when he started. The big differentiator here: he was a legit paint presence—long, physical, and efficient around the rim—more of a defense-and-rebounding fit than a high-usage scorer.
