Big Lefty, Still Finding His College Groove at Villanova
Wolpert is a 6'3", 195-pound left-handed pitcher for Villanova who brings the classic projectable southpaw look scouts love, but his current college sample is still developing: in the 2025 season, he logged a 19.29 ERA with 1 strikeout and no decisions, while his 2026 line on D1Baseball shows limited early action. The upside is the frame, handedness, and room to grow; the caution flag is that he’s still proving consistent results at the college level, so he’s more intriguing as a developmental arm than a ready-made impact piece.
