Yearout arrived at Idaho with a reputation as a high-IQ lead guard and championship-level organizer: in his senior high school season he averaged 15.5 points, 7.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals while leading Lapwai to a 27-0 record and back-to-back state titles, and he was the school’s all-time scoring leader. At Idaho, his current role has been more rotational, with 3.6 points per game in 2024-25, but his best fit is as a steady, unselfish guard who can control pace, move the ball and bring winning experience to a team needing composure and decision-making.
