a sturdy, high-IQ former Highlander big man with real glue-guy value
Lucas Devenny’s UC Riverside profile points to a tough, efficient frontcourt player who did the dirty work well: in the 2013-14 season, he was a senior forward at 6-foot-8, 240 pounds and was honored on the Big West Academic All-Conference Team, which hints at discipline and coachability. His game reads as low-mistake and team-first rather than flashy, with solid finishing and rebounding production over his UCR career. If you want a dependable, physically mature big who brings IQ, effort, and consistency, Devenny fits the mold; if you need a shot-blocking, rim-running star, that’s not the same lane.
