Jack Korthas is Columbia’s young lefty with swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Jack Korthas gave Columbia a useful left-handed bullpen arm, making 12 appearances and three starts while striking out 12 and holding opponents to a .269 average; he also earned his first collegiate win against Stony Brook and drew praise from coach Kevin Boretti as a strong LHP with a good breaking ball.[1] The fit here is intriguing: he’s not yet a finished product, but the arm talent, deception, and breaking-ball feel make him the kind of developmental pitcher teams like to stash and build up.
