Ty Bayer is Kennesaw State’s do-it-all arm with starter upside
In the 2026 season, Ty Bayer has given Kennesaw State a real two-way style weapon on the mound: a team-high six wins across 20 appearances while working both as a starter and reliever, which says a lot about his versatility and trust level. The 6-foot-4 right-hander was also an instant-impact freshman in 2025, earning Conference USA All-Freshman honors after posting a 2-3 record with 49 strikeouts in 53.2 innings. What makes him interesting is the combo of size, strike-throwing, and poise in leverage spots—he looks like a guy coaches can plug in anywhere and expect toughness.
