Wyatt Wright brings proven SWAC production and splash-play upside at linebacker
In the 2026 preseason, Wyatt Wright is drawing real buzz after earning All-SWAC First Team recognition and a spot on the Deacon Jones Player of the Year Watch List, backed by a 2025 line of 72 total tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble, one quarterback hurry, and one interception[4][7]. At 6-foot-1 and 202 pounds, he profiles as a rangy, disruptive linebacker who can finish plays in the backfield and create turnovers, which is exactly the kind of tone-setter coaches love in the middle of a defense[1][4].
