Developing right-hander with flashes of bite, but still finding consistency
Baack is a 5-foot-10 right-handed freshman at Utah Valley who showed real strikeout touch in 2026, fanning 17 over 21.1 innings while also working a season-high four innings at Tarleton State and posting a career-best four strikeouts vs. BYU. His raw results were uneven — he finished 0-1 with a 9.70 ERA — but the arm has some life and he’s already been trusted in multiple appearances, including bullpen work in a high-profile in-state matchup. If your team values upside, competitiveness, and a pitcher still growing into his command, he’s worth a look.
