Israel Barnes was a double-figure scoring guard with real shot-making juice for SEMO
In the 2022-23 season, Israel Barnes averaged 10.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists for Southeast Missouri State while shooting 43.1% from the field and knocking down 32 threes, which says “steady bucket-getter” more than empty-calories scorer.[2][4] He missed the first five games with a knee sprain but still earned OVC Player and Newcomer of the Week honors, a nice clue that he could ramp up quickly and impact winning when healthy.[2] Barnes’ best differentiators were his scoring versatility, timely shot-making, and ability to contribute across the box score.[2]
